Il s'agit d'une avanc\u00e9e importante dans les efforts visant \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la s\u00e9lection de vari\u00e9t\u00e9s am\u00e9lior\u00e9es \u00e0 haut rendement pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et l'am\u00e9lioration des revenus des m\u00e9nages dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19895\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Tereza-7.jpg\" alt=\"Scientists show which genetic loci is associated with bunch weight in highland banana\" width=\"1900\" height=\"751\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'augmentation du poids du r\u00e9gime de bananes est un objectif majeur de l'am\u00e9lioration des bananes car elle d\u00e9termine le rendement. On savait peu de choses sur les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui le r\u00e9gulent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Par cons\u00e9quent, les scientifiques ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 comprendre la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique qui sous-tend le poids du r\u00e9gime et ses caract\u00e8res constitutifs chez le bananier. Les composantes du poids du r\u00e9gime comprennent plusieurs caract\u00e8res tels que le nombre de mains et de fruits, la longueur et la circonf\u00e9rence du fruit, ainsi que le diam\u00e8tre du fruit et de la pulpe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une \u00e9tude d'association \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du g\u00e9nome (GWAS), les chercheurs ont d\u00e9couvert que le chromosome 3 \u00e9tait le plus associ\u00e9 au poids des r\u00e9gimes chez le bananier.
