Deputy Director General, Corporate Services, <a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/koper-hilde\/\">Hilde Koper-Limbourg<\/a> announced this on 9 April, in an email communique to all staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She noted that there might be further announcements if the governments in the different countries the Institute operates in announce changes. \u201cIn all the places we work, the general rule is still that we follow Government directives,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She enjoined staff to \u201chang in there\u201d in these difficult times and keep taking all precautions to keep themselves and their families safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IITA has instituted a partial lockdown in some of its locations, while in places such as Rwanda, there is a total lockdown in line with government directives. Despite the current situation, IITA is continuing its work, in some cases remotely, to ensure the \u201ctransformation of African
