Le cours permettra \u00e0 80 \u00e0 100 scientifiques africains d'appliquer les technologies d'\u00e9dition g\u00e9n\u00e9tique bas\u00e9es sur CRISPR pour am\u00e9liorer les cultures vivri\u00e8res importantes pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nutritionnelle en Afrique en ce qui concerne les caract\u00e8res essentiels.\n\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24710 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Scientist-in-the-laboratory.png\" alt=\"laboratory scientist\" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" \/>Le syst\u00e8me CRISPR offre un immense potentiel pour apporter des modifications g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques pr\u00e9cises et souhait\u00e9es, permettant aux obtenteurs de plantes de relever les d\u00e9fis d'un climat en \u00e9volution et d'une population en croissance rapide au rythme requis.\n<h4>\u00c0 propos du cours CRISPR de l'AfPBA<\/h4>\nLe cours CRISPR de l'AfPBA vise \u00e0 former des scientifiques africains engag\u00e9s dans l'am\u00e9lioration des cultures, en particulier ceux travaillant dans des institutions de recherche nationales d\u00e9sireux de mettre en \u0153uvre ou d'initier des programmes d'\u00e9dition de g\u00e8nes.\n\nLe cours est un programme intensif de 6 semaines, dispens\u00e9 en trois sessions de 2 semaines \u00e0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-ogsc=\"\">IITA<\/a>\u00a0h\u00e9berg\u00e9 par B4A\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilri.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\" data-ogsc=\"\">ILRI<\/a>\u00a0centre et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldagroforestry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\" data-ogsc=\"\">Agroforesterie mondiale<\/a>\u00a0\u00e0 Nairobi, au Kenya, sur une p\u00e9riode d'un an et peut accueillir 20 participants par session de formation. Il se concentre sur les \u00e9tapes permettant de r\u00e9aliser l'\u00e9dition de g\u00e8nes, de la conception \u00e0 la validation. Le cours pr\u00e9pare les participants \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des caract\u00e8res cl\u00e9s (par exemple, la valeur nutritive, la r\u00e9sistance aux maladies, une plus longue dur\u00e9e de conservation) dans des cultures align\u00e9es sur leurs priorit\u00e9s nationales et institutionnelles.\n<h4>Caract\u00e8re unique du cours CRISPR de l'AfPBA<\/h4>\nCe programme comprend un mentorat post-formation et un soutien continu pour maintenir la productivit\u00e9 en laboratoire au-del\u00e0 de la fin du cours, ainsi que la cr\u00e9ation de partenariats translationnels pour la commercialisation et le d\u00e9veloppement de la cha\u00eene de valeur.\n\nLe cours s'appuie sur les informations de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age du g\u00e9nome accumul\u00e9es par l'AOCC sur 101 cultures orphelines africaines, comprenant une diversit\u00e9 de l\u00e9gumes, de fruits, de noix, de l\u00e9gumineuses, d'ol\u00e9agineux, de c\u00e9r\u00e9ales et d'esp\u00e8ces d'arbres. En outre, il met l'accent sur le r\u00f4le de CRISPR dans le plan global d'am\u00e9lioration du d\u00e9veloppement des cultivars et de r\u00e9ponse aux besoins des petits agriculteurs. Il soutiendra une communaut\u00e9 de pratique fortement li\u00e9e aux disciplines requises pour le d\u00e9veloppement et le lancement de produits, l'am\u00e9lioration de la distribution des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s et leur adoption par les agriculteurs.\n<h4>Qui devrait participer ?<\/h4>\nNous invitons les biologistes mol\u00e9culaires et biotechnologistes actuellement engag\u00e9s dans des programmes nationaux au sein d'institutions africaines et d\u00e9sireux de s'engager dans l'\u00e9dition de g\u00e8nes pour l'am\u00e9lioration des cultures \u00e0 soumettre leur candidature. La priorit\u00e9 sera accord\u00e9e aux candidats issus de pays o\u00f9 les directives r\u00e9glementaires relatives \u00e0 l'\u00e9dition de g\u00e8nes sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en place ou en cours d'\u00e9laboration, et o\u00f9 travaillent des anciens \u00e9l\u00e8ves s\u00e9lectionneurs de plantes de l'AfPBA, dans la mesure o\u00f9 nous encourageons la formation d'\u00e9quipes pluridisciplinaires pour l'am\u00e9lioration des cultures. Les participants peuvent travailler sur n'importe quelle culture.\n<h4>Le contexte du cours<\/h4>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24711 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Female-scientist.png\" alt=\"female scientist\" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" \/>Ce programme sera le premier cours de formation pratique sur la technologie CRISPR en Afrique et se d\u00e9roulera sur cinq ans pour permettre \u00e0 80 \u00e0 100 scientifiques d'utiliser la technologie CRISPR pour l'am\u00e9lioration des cultures. Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR) d\u00e9signe une approche d'\u00e9dition g\u00e9n\u00e9tique qui permet d'apporter des modifications sp\u00e9cifiques et cibl\u00e9es \u00e0 l'ADN. CRISPR a servi de base au prix Nobel de chimie 2020 attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la biochimiste Jennifer Doudna de l'UC Berkeley pour sa d\u00e9couverte de cet outil de pr\u00e9cision pour l'\u00e9dition du g\u00e9nome, conjointement avec la microbiologiste fran\u00e7aise Emmanuelle Charpentier. La professeure Doudna a fond\u00e9 l'IGI, un partenariat entre l'UC Berkeley et l'UC San Francisco, pour faire progresser la recherche sur le g\u00e9nome pour un monde meilleur.
