He added that in achieving that goal, IITA has always embraced partnering with private organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her response, Nova Genetic Research Manager Florine Poiroux briefed the team about the France-based organization. She explained that the Nova Alliance Group comprises several companies charged with seed production, farm coordination, management, and research. With four breeding stations in Africa, the organization is focused on vegetables, working on notable species such as tomato, pepper, summer squash, and watermelon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><figure id=\"attachment_25689\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25689\" style=\"width: 820px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-25689\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/At-the-Bioscience-Center-during-a-tour-of-the-IITA-Ibadan-campus.jpg\" alt=\"Nova Genetic Research Manager Florine Poiroux highlighting the objective of the visit.\" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25689\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nova Genetic Research Manager Florine Poiroux highlighting the objective of the visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She added that the organization\u2019s objective is to breed more varieties in tropical areas to meet farmers\u2019 needs and pay more attention to developing resistance to tropical diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both teams discussed potential areas of collaboration, such as testing operations, lab research, vegetable legumes, seed multiplication, modernization and technology transfer, and nutrition analysis. For the actualization of the proposed partnership, both parties assigned representatives to facilitate further interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><figure id=\"attachment_25690\"
