La race 1 (connue localement sous le nom de maladie de Panama) est devenue un cauchemar pour les agriculteurs tanzaniens car le champignon peut subsister dans le sol pendant environ 20 ans. Une autre souche, la race tropicale 4 (TR4), est pr\u00e9sente au Mozambique voisin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c Les hybrides Mchare r\u00e9sistants veilleront \u00e0 ce que les agriculteurs tanzaniens soient en mesure de faire face aux souches de FW pr\u00e9sentes en Tanzanie aujourd'hui et \u00e0 celles qu'ils sont susceptibles de rencontrer \u00e0 l'avenir \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/brown-allen\/\">Allan Brown<\/a>, le s\u00e9lectionneur de bananiers de l'IITA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outre leur r\u00e9sistance au FW, Brown a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 que la texture, la couleur, l&#x27;ar\u00f4me et la saveur des nouveaux hybrides indiquent qu&#x27;ils ne diff\u00e8rent pas de mani\u00e8re significative des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s locales traditionnelles de Mchare, d&#x27;apr\u00e8s les notes attribu\u00e9es par les consommateurs. Selon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecitizen.co.tz\/tanzania\/news\/business\/-banana-deal-promises-bright-future-for-farmers-3574908\">Fonctionnaires gouvernementaux<\/a>, la r\u00e9gion du Kilimandjaro en Tanzanie produit une moyenne de 700 000 \u00e0 un million de tonnes de bananes par an, un seul r\u00e9gime de Mchare rapportant jusqu'\u00e0 20 dollars am\u00e9ricains sur les march\u00e9s locaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c Le d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux hybrides de bananiers peut prendre jusqu'\u00e0 deux d\u00e9cennies ou plus, de sorte que le d\u00e9veloppement de ces hybrides prometteurs qui r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 notre profil de produit et le d\u00e9passent en un peu plus de sept ans est une r\u00e9alisation vraiment remarquable et t\u00e9moigne du travail acharn\u00e9 de l'\u00e9quipe en Tanzanie et de l'excellente relation entre l'IITA, les programmes nationaux et les partenaires internationaux \u201d, a-t-il exprim\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/swennen-rony\/\">Rony Swennen<\/a>, le principal obtenteur de bananes de l'IITA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par l'\u00e9quipe de l'IITA en collaboration avec ses partenaires renforceront l'importance des bananes non seulement en tant que culture vivri\u00e8re et de rente essentielle, mais aussi en tant que catalyseur pour stimuler l'\u00e9conomie des petits agriculteurs. <a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/news-item\/hope-for-tanzanian-banana-farmers-with-the-official-release-of-new-matooke-hybrids\/\">TARI et TOSCI sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 sortis<\/a> quatre hybrides de matooke d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s par <a href=\"https:\/\/naro.go.ug\/\">NARO (Organisation nationale de recherche agricole, Ouganda)<\/a>) et l'IITA, appel\u00e9 NARITA, en 2021 en Tanzanie.
