The Institute participated in COMAF from 27 to 30 January to increase community engagement in Cameroon.\n<div id=\"attachment_7573\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Agropastoral1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7573\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Agropastoral1.jpg\" alt=\"Agropastoral and social fair showcases IITA\u2019s technologies and achievements in Cameroon\" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7573\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7573\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Several dignitaries and the Delegate of MINADER visited the IITA exhibition.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nOne of the highlights of IITA\u2019s exhibition was the display on in-vitro banana and plantain seed culture, which embodies modern production techniques, and a summary of IITA\u2019s achievements and projects hosted at the station, notably, the ENABLE Youth Cameroon Program.\n<div id=\"attachment_7574\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Agropastoral2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7574\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Agropastoral2.jpg\" alt=\"Agropastoral and social fair showcases IITA\u2019s technologies and achievements in Cameroon\" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7574\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7574\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">IITA Consultant Giovanni Forgione attending to visitors at the fair.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nInitially scheduled for 2020, the COMAF organizers moved the fair to January 2021 because of COVID-19 challenges. Participants at the fair included government executives, administrative and political leaders, farmers, and the media.
