FAO seeks to collaborate with other institutes that share the vision to address this issue and reduce hunger and malnutrition globally.\n<div id=\"attachment_7384\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/FAO-to-partner-1.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7384\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/FAO-to-partner-1.png\" alt=\"FAO to partner with IITA in reducing world hunger and malnutrition \" width=\"820\" height=\"411\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7384\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7384\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Representative of FAO, Fred Kafeero discussing the purpose of the visit with Kenton Dashiell and Kwesi Atta-Krah.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/dashiell-kenton\/\">Kenton Dashiell<\/a>, IITA DDG-Partnership for Delivery,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/dixon-alfred\/\">Alfred Dixon<\/a>, IITA Director of Development for Delivery, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/atta-krah-kwesi\/\">Kwesi Atta-Krah<\/a>, IITA Director of Advocacy and Country Alignment Function, welcomed the delegation and introduced IITA\u2019s activities to the team.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/schreurs-frederick\/\">Frederick Schreurs<\/a>, CEO of the IITA Business Incubation Platform (BIP), also highlighted its activities.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iitabip.org\/\">IITA-BIP<\/a>\u00a0is an independent arm of IITA where science meets business. For a broader view, the team went on a tour of the Institute, visiting the IITA Youth Agripreneurs (IYA), Aflasafe and Nodumax facilities, and the Genetic Resources Center.\n<div id=\"attachment_7385\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 538px\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7385\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27644\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/FAO-to-partner-p02-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"538\" height=\"269\" \/>The team on a tour of the Genetic Resources Center (GRC) with Michael Abberton, Head of GRC.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nFollowing the IYA presentation, Abubakar Suleiman, FAO Assistant Representative in Nigeria, said that he sees the IYA platform as a source of inspiration to youth because it can create massive job opportunities. \u201cThe model should be easy to replicate in every state in Nigeria since youth are more receptive to technology and digitization in agriculture, and other emerging trends that would transform the food system in the future,\u201d he added.\n<div id=\"attachment_7386\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 476px\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7386\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27645\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/FAO-to-partner-p03-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"238\" \/>The FAO team and IITA representatives.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nAfter the tour, Fred Kafeero, FAO Representative, mentioned their interest in partnering with IITA in two key areas: IYA and BIP, including Aflasafe. He explained that this would enable more youth to engage in agricultural production and processing for commercial purposes.\n\nDDG Dashiell appreciated the FAO team for their keen interest in collaborating with IITA and stated that IITA is willing and open to partnership.\n<div id=\"attachment_7387\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 494px\">\n<p
