{"id":16091,"date":"2026-06-20T12:48:50","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T12:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.iita.org\/news-item\/feed-africa-stakeholders-zero-in-on-partnerships-for-technology-delivery\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T19:59:40","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T19:59:40","slug":"feed-africa-stakeholders-zero-in-on-partnerships-for-technology-delivery","status":"publish","type":"news-item","link":"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/news-item\/feed-africa-stakeholders-zero-in-on-partnerships-for-technology-delivery\/","title":{"rendered":"Nourrir l'Afrique : Les parties prenantes se concentrent sur les partenariats pour le transfert de technologie"},"content":{"rendered":"\nKey stakeholders in Africa\u2019s agricultural sector have identified partnerships for sustainable agricultural technology delivery as a critical factor in Africa\u2019s quest to feed Africa.\n<div class=\"articleimg\">\n<div id=\"attachment_3977\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 848px\">\n\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bulletin.iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/DG-Nteranya-Sanginga-being-congratulated-by-AGRF-participants.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3977\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/DG-Nteranya-Sanginga-being-congratulated-by-AGRF-participants-300x163-1.jpg\" alt=\"Picture of DG Nteranya Sanginga being congratulated by AGRF participants\" width=\"848\" height=\"461\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3977\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-3977\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DG Nteranya Sanginga being congratulated by AGRF participants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #333333;, serif;font-size: 17px\">This came out strongly at a breakfast session that heralded the presidential summit of the 2018\u00a0<\/span><a style=\", serif;font-size: 17px\" href=\"https:\/\/agrf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">African Green Revolution Forum<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333;, serif;font-size: 17px\">\u00a0(AGRF) in Kigali, Rwanda\u2019s capital city.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nOrganized by the ClearingHouse of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iita.org\/technologies-for-african-agricultural-transformation-taat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation<\/a>\u00a0(TAAT), an initiative of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afdb.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">African Development Bank<\/a>\u2019s Feed Africa Strategy that aims to achieve major agricultural transformation in Africa, the session had in attendance, African agriculture ministers, scientists, representatives of multilateral development banks, donor partners, and the private sector.\n\nDr Mpoko Bokanga, Head of the TAAT ClearingHouse, in his opening statements, traced the program\u2019s history to the October 2015 Dakar High Level Conference on Africa Agricultural Transformation Agenda, which led to the adoption of 4 goals and 18 action points to transform African agriculture.\n\nWith a focused approach on integrated development of agricultural value chains, Bokanga highlighted the main objective of TAAT which is to \u201ctake proven agricultural technologies to scale in a commercially sustainable fashion through the establishment of a mechanism to facilitate partnerships.\u201d\n\n[su_quote]\u201cThese partnerships will not only provide access to expertise required to design, implement, and monitor the progress of crops, animals, and aquaculture, they will also contribute to ending extreme poverty by eliminating hunger and malnutrition and making Africa a net exporter of agricultural commodities,\u201d Bokanga said.[\/su_quote]\n<h3>Innovative approach in partnerships<\/h3>\nTAAT, according to Bokanga, is not an addition to Africa\u2019s long list of agricultural initiatives but an innovative program that serves as a clearinghouse for sustainable agricultural technology delivery.\n\nThrough its components, the program will promote an enabling environment for technology adoption; establish a regional technology delivery infrastructure to accelerate delivery; and raise Africa\u2019s agricultural productivity by deploying proven agricultural technologies at the agroecological and country levels in strengthened agricultural value chains.\n\nThe Togolese Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Ouro-Koura Agadazi was full of praises for the AfDB and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iita.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IITA<\/a>\u00a0for this well thought-out program, which according to him, \u201ccarries the prospects of transforming Africa\u2019s agricultural landscape.\u201d\n\n[su_quote]\u201cTogo has benefited from several of IITA path-breaking agricultural solutions and it is our hope that TAAT will not be any different,\u201d Agadazi added.[\/su_quote]\n\nHon.
