The team consisted of a former IITA staff member, D.J. Kim, who is now Bioneer\u2019s Director for Africa, and his colleague Roy Min, Regional Manager in the International Business Division.\n<div id=\"attachment_3833\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 683px\">\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IITA-Eastern-Africa-Hub-Director-Victor-Manyong-center-flanked-by-the-Bioneer-representatives.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3833\" src=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/IITA-Eastern-Africa-Hub-Director-Victor-Manyong-center-flanked-by-the-Bioneer-representatives.jpg\" alt=\"Picture of IITA Eastern Africa Hub Director, Victor Manyong (center), flanked by the Bioneer representatives\" width=\"683\" height=\"451\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3833\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-3833\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">IITA Eastern Africa Hub Director, Victor Manyong (center), flanked by the Bioneer representatives.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\nThe team was received by the IITA Director for Eastern Africa Hub,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/iita-staff\/manyong-victor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Victor Manyong<\/a>, who took them on a tour of the facilities and explained about IITA\u2019s work in the region.\n\nThe visiting team expressed their wish to have an MoU with IITA, spelling out areas of collaboration.\n\nThe team was in Tanzania as part of a delegation of potential investors from South Korea and was led by the country\u2019s Prime Minister Hon Lee Nak- Yon. The delegation held a one-day business forum with their Tanzanian counterparts led by Tanzanian Prime Minister, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa, on 23 July.\n\nThe forum was attended by over 400 representatives from private sector and government institutions from both countries to explore opportunities in health, infrastructure, construction, and agriculture.
