This prestigious recognition is from <a href=\"https:\/\/research.com\/u\/ranajit-bandyopadhyay\">Research.com<\/a>, a leading academic platform that profiles the best researchers, scientists, schools, and papers to enhance research reach and intelligent decisions across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bandyopadhyay&#8217;s immense contribution to Plant Science and Agronomy has been duly recognized and honored with the Plant Science and Agronomy Leader Award for 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which includes papers and citation values for Bandyopadhyay&#8217;s work in Plant Science and Agronomy. Bandyopadhyay exceeded the minimum D-index of at least 30 academic publications required to rank a leading scientist in this field. He made a 58 D-index with 8895 citations of data collected in November 2023 and ranked first among the 10700 scientists analyzed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This third edition of Research.com&#8217;s ranking highlights the unwavering efforts of leading experts in various research fields. The rankings celebrate their tenacity and showcase their ratings so that other scholars, scientists, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers across the globe can easily spot them as resource persons and highlight research works best suited for specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bandyopadhyay is a fellow of the American Phytopathological Society (APS). He has received many awards and bagged countless achievements. He has contributed immensely to resolving plant diseases, including soybean rust invasion in Nigeria, sorghum ergot invasion in Australia, Brazil, and the US, and crops contaminated by aflatoxins in Africa. He received the Outstanding Scientist Award from IITA and ICRISAT, the Outstanding Achievement Award from the National Grain Sorghum Producers Board of North America, the Agents of Change for Aflatoxin Mitigation Award from the African Union, and the APS International Service Award, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bandyopadhyay&#8217;s contributions to the resolution of plant diseases are multi-pronged. He employs research, development, communication, and education, including multi-institutional, multi-national, and multi-disciplinary partnerships, to manage and deploy solutions to intractable disease problems worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the belief that plant science, pathology, and agronomy must benefit people, Bandyopadhyay invests in pooling resources, funds, and partnerships to ensure the integrated deployment of plant solutions.
