Par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019hybride tol\u00e9rant \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse et r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la Striga commercialis\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment au Nigeria (SAMMAZ50), le SAMMAZ77 a enregistr\u00e9 des rendements sup\u00e9rieurs de 5 \u00e0 351 TP3T dans des conditions de stress combin\u00e9 : infestation par la chenille l\u00e9gionnaire d\u2019automne, parasitisme par la Striga et s\u00e9cheresse s\u00e9v\u00e8re. Cet hybride a surpass\u00e9 le SAMMAZ50 de 13 \u00e0 1 641 TP3T dans sept des neuf sites d\u2019essai en conditions de culture pluviale. De plus, le SAMMAZ77 a affich\u00e9 des gains de rendement de 14 \u00e0 411 TP3T par rapport au SAMMAZ68 (un hybride TEGO issu d\u2019un croisement \u00e0 trois voies commercialis\u00e9 au Nigeria) dans deux des quatre principaux \u00c9tats producteurs de ma\u00efs du pays. Des essais en exploitation men\u00e9s dans quatre \u00c9tats ont en outre d\u00e9montr\u00e9 des gains de rendement de 33 \u00e0 1 321 TP3T pour le SAMMAZ77 par rapport aux vari\u00e9t\u00e9s de ma\u00efs pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es des agriculteurs. Ces r\u00e9sultats font du SAMMAZ77 une innovation essentielle pour maintenir la productivit\u00e9 du ma\u00efs dans les savanes nig\u00e9rianes, o\u00f9 des stress biotiques et abiotiques concomitants menacent la production agricole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><figure id=\"attachment_32795\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32795\" style=\"width: 266px\"
