Elle a marqu\u00e9 une \u00e9tape importante vers le renforcement des syst\u00e8mes semenciers du pays et l'am\u00e9lioration de la productivit\u00e9 agricole. Cette initiative de renforcement des capacit\u00e9s a rassembl\u00e9 25 participants, dont 13 responsables d'\u00e9coles d'agriculteurs de terrain, quatre agents de vulgarisation et huit techniciens et chercheurs du CIAT. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une approche d'apprentissage mixte comprenant des sessions en salle et des d\u00e9monstrations pratiques sur le terrain, les participants ont acquis une exp\u00e9rience concr\u00e8te. La premi\u00e8re phase s'est concentr\u00e9e sur les animateurs des Champs-\u00e9coles des producteurs et les agents de vulgarisation, en mettant l'accent sur les techniques de production de semences certifi\u00e9es. La deuxi\u00e8me phase a cibl\u00e9 les chercheurs et techniciens du CIAT. Elle a introduit des technologies avanc\u00e9es telles que la propagation in vitro et l'hydroponie semi-autotrophe pour la production de semences de base. Les participants ont suivi des sessions th\u00e9oriques intensives, suivies d'exercices pratiques sur le terrain sur le campus du CIAT.
