Pour soutenir ce changement, des partenaires des Syst\u00e8mes Nationaux de Recherche et de Vulgarisation Agricole (SNRV) du Ghana, du Nig\u00e9ria, du Mali et du B\u00e9nin ont r\u00e9cemment entrepris une visite d'\u00e9tude en Zambie et au Zimbabwe, deux pays dot\u00e9s de syst\u00e8mes de ma\u00efs hybride parmi les plus \u00e9tablis en Afrique subsaharienne.<\/span>\n\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">La visite, organis\u00e9e par\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">IITA<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u2013<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgiar.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">CGIAR<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0et le Centre International d'Am\u00e9lioration du Ma\u00efs et du Bl\u00e9 (CIMMYT) dans le cadre de l'initiative \u201c Hybrides de Ma\u00efs R\u00e9silients pour l'Afrique \u201d, financ\u00e9e par la Fondation Gates, et du Programme Scientifique de la CGIAR pour l'Am\u00e9lioration de Demain, visaient \u00e0 renforcer les capacit\u00e9s des partenaires en d\u00e9veloppement d'hybrides, production de semences, mise en \u0153uvre d'essais au champ et strat\u00e9gies de d\u00e9ploiement afin d'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l'adoption des hybrides de ma\u00efs en Afrique de l'Ouest.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<h3 aria-level=\"3\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Pourquoi le ma\u00efs hybride est important<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134245418&quot;:true,&quot;134245529&quot;:true,&quot;335559738&quot;:160,&quot;335559739&quot;:80}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">En Afrique, le ma\u00efs est plus qu'une simple culture. C'est un aliment de base pour des millions de m\u00e9nages et reste central pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, les moyens de subsistance et la stabilit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique sur tout le continent. Alors que l'Afrique de l'Ouest est l'une des plus grandes r\u00e9gions productrices de ma\u00efs du continent, avec des pays comme le Nigeria produisant plus de 10 millions de tonnes m\u00e9triques par an, les rendements par hectare restent relativement faibles en raison de la d\u00e9pendance continue vis-\u00e0-vis des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 pollinisation libre (VPL).\u00a0<\/span>\n\n<a
