Les agriculteurs, les industries et les d\u00e9cideurs politiques ont besoin de solutions efficaces et \u00e9volutives pour prot\u00e9ger les cultures de base telles que le ma\u00efs, l'arachide et le sorgho contre les aflatoxines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'une des innovations les plus prometteuses est la lutte biologique utilisant des organismes indig\u00e8nes, atoxiques&nbsp;<em>Aspergillus flavus<\/em>&nbsp;souches \u2014 appliqu\u00e9es sur le terrain pour supplanter les champignons producteurs de toxines. Bien que des essais \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle au Nigeria il y a plus de 15 ans aient d\u00e9montr\u00e9 son potentiel, la mise \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle d'Aflasafe a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de surmonter d'importants obstacles de fabrication et de commercialisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un article r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 documente l'\u00e9volution des produits de biocontr\u00f4le Aflasafe, de la recherche en laboratoire \u00e0 la production \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle industrielle, permettant une utilisation g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e dans toute l'Afrique subsaharienne. En affinant les processus de fabrication, en d\u00e9veloppant des mod\u00e8les de production adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle et en renfor\u00e7ant les strat\u00e9gies de commercialisation,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iita.org\/fr\/\">IITA<\/a>&nbsp;a facilit\u00e9 la production de milliers de tonnes de produits de biocontr\u00f4le, conduisant \u00e0 plus d'un million de tonnes de cultures sans aflatoxine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 des partenaires, cette technologie a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e, enregistr\u00e9e et transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 des partenaires du secteur priv\u00e9 au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, en Tanzanie et au Mozambique, ainsi qu'au secteur public\/priv\u00e9 au Kenya. Le d\u00e9veloppement, les tests, l'enregistrement et le transfert du produit sont actuellement \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents stades dans 23 pays d'Afrique subsaharienne (Fig. 1). Le renforcement des partenariats public-priv\u00e9, des initiatives de recherche-d\u00e9veloppement dirig\u00e9es par le CGIAR et des investissements du secteur priv\u00e9 dans la fabrication et la distribution (Fig. 2)<br><em>\u2013 D'autres installations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 construites au Mozambique par AflaLivre, en RD Congo et au Burundi dans le cadre de projets de la Banque Mondiale, tandis que des installations sont en cours de construction en Sierra Leone et \u00e0 Madagascar dans le cadre de projets de la Banque Mondiale \u2013<\/em>&nbsp;a \u00e9t\u00e9 essentiel pour surmonter les obstacles et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l'adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La le\u00e7on cl\u00e9? L'innovation seule est insuffisante; la mise \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle de solutions telles que l'Aflasafe n\u00e9cessite le d\u00e9veloppement de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s industriels, de partenariats strat\u00e9giques, de strat\u00e9gies de commercialisation efficaces et d'investissements durables.
