La formation a initi\u00e9 les participants au FeedCalculator, une solution num\u00e9rique qui permet une formulation efficace des aliments pour animaux, en utilisant des ingr\u00e9dients rentables et disponibles localement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le FeedCalculator est con\u00e7u pour aider les petits \u00e9leveurs \u00e0 optimiser les m\u00e9langes d'aliments en tenant compte de plusieurs facteurs critiques. Premi\u00e8rement, il identifie les besoins nutritionnels d'animaux sp\u00e9cifiques. Il analyse ensuite les ingr\u00e9dients disponibles et leur composition nutritionnelle avant de d\u00e9terminer la combinaison la plus efficace pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins des animaux. Cette application peut formuler des recettes d'aliments pour poulets de chair, poules pondeuses, porcs, poissons-chats et tilapia. L'outil prend \u00e9galement en compte le co\u00fbt et la disponibilit\u00e9, permettant aux agriculteurs de produire des aliments abordables et nutritionnellement \u00e9quilibr\u00e9s. Le Dr Iheanacho a form\u00e9 des producteurs d'aliments pour animaux et des propri\u00e9taires de b\u00e9tail \u00e0 l'utilisation de pelures de manioc de haute qualit\u00e9 (PMHQ) dans la formulation des aliments comme source importante de glucides. Souvent jet\u00e9es comme d\u00e9chets, les pelures de manioc sont une ressource rentable et durable qui favorise \u00e0 la fois l'abordabilit\u00e9 et l'efficacit\u00e9 des ressources dans la production d'\u00e9levage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour les participants, l'outil FeedCalculator repr\u00e9sente un passage d'une formulation d'aliments traditionnelle bas\u00e9e sur l'exp\u00e9rience \u00e0 une approche plus pr\u00e9cise et ax\u00e9e sur les donn\u00e9es qui am\u00e9liore l'efficacit\u00e9, la qualit\u00e9 des aliments et les performances de l'entreprise. Les participants ont partag\u00e9 comment la formation influence d\u00e9j\u00e0 leurs pratiques et leurs projets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c Je vends des aliments pour animaux et je travaille comme \u00e9leveur de porcs. De plus, je produis des aliments pour animaux en utilisant des \u00e9pluchures de manioc de haute qualit\u00e9 (EMHQ). Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette formation, \u00e0 partir de maintenant, nous utiliserons le FeedCalculator pour mieux comprendre les besoins de nos clients et fournir des rations correctement formul\u00e9es qui am\u00e9liorent la croissance et les performances du b\u00e9tail, au b\u00e9n\u00e9fice ultime des agriculteurs \u2019, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mutoni Noella, directrice de Livestock Solution Company Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De m\u00eame, Mahoro Olivier de la Cooperative Ruhango Young Innovators (CORYI), une entreprise de production d'aliments pour animaux, a soulign\u00e9 l'impact de la formation. \u201c Nous avions l'habitude de formuler des aliments pour animaux de mani\u00e8re traditionnelle avec des comp\u00e9tences limit\u00e9es. Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9 sur le FeedCalculator, je peux maintenant produire automatiquement des aliments nutritifs. Cela nous facilite grandement le calcul des rations en tant qu'\u00e9leveurs \u201d, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, les participants ont \u00e9galement identifi\u00e9 des pistes d'am\u00e9lioration. Mahoro a not\u00e9 que certains ingr\u00e9dients locaux couramment utilis\u00e9s ne sont pas encore inclus dans l'application. Il a sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que les d\u00e9veloppeurs s'associent directement avec les agriculteurs sur le terrain pour collecter des donn\u00e9es sur les ingr\u00e9dients utilis\u00e9s localement, am\u00e9liorant ainsi la pertinence et l'efficacit\u00e9 de l'outil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette initiative marque une \u00e9tape importante pour le secteur de l'\u00e9levage au Rwanda. En dotant les agriculteurs et les producteurs d'aliments pour animaux d'outils et de connaissances num\u00e9riques pratiques, l'IITA soutient une production d'aliments pour animaux plus efficace, abordable et durable, contribuant ainsi \u00e0 l'am\u00e9lioration des moyens de subsistance et \u00e0 un avenir agricole plus r\u00e9silient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
