Le Centre de Biosciences de l'IITA<\/strong> was established in 1990<\/strong>, at the onset of the genomic revolution, to harness emerging DNA and molecular technologies<\/strong> for crop improvement in Africa. The center\u2019s founding strategy focused on building partnerships with advanced laboratories in developed countries<\/strong> while simultaneously sharing expertise with National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS)<\/strong>.<\/p>

Currently led by Prof. Michael Abberton<\/strong>, the Bioscience Center has continually expanded to remain at the forefront of molecular and genomic innovations<\/strong>, particularly in applying DNA-based tools to enhance crop productivity and resilience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
