He obtained his PhD at the Universities of Burgundy (France) and Lom\u00e9 (Togo) (2009 to 2011) with collaboration from CIRAD (France) and the Togolese Institute of Agricultural Research (ITRA). He specialized in soil fertility management and modeling. He obtained the \u201cDipl\u00f4me d\u2019Ing\u00e9nieur Agronome\u201d and \u201cDipl\u00f4me des Etudes Approfondies (DEA)\u201d from the University of Lom\u00e9 in 2004 and 2008, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before this appointment, Kokou worked as a Cassava Agronomist at IITA-Kinshasa. He was a Researcher at ITRA (October 2007\u2015October 2013), research leader on the agronomy of cotton (January 2012\u2015October 2013), and activity leader of an NGO based in Togo (2005\u20152007).
