Apollin Fotso Kuate is a Visiting Scientist at IITA-Cameroon. He oversees activities in the Biocontrol laboratories and is actively engaged in cassava and maize value chains development with emphasis new on clone introductions and screening against major pests and diseases. He is currently the focal point of the Agricultural Investment and Market Development Project (AIMDP) jointly funded by the World Bank and the Cameroon Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Fotso Kuate joined IITA as Master intern in 2002. He obtained his Msc in Applied Zoology from the University of Yaound\u00e9 I and his PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Basel in 2010, through collaboration between IITA and the Research Fellow Partnership Program in Zurich. He is experienced in ant\u2019s taxonomy and their interactions with plants and other insects in the ecosystem. His collection at the IITA museum has more than 200 ant\u2019s species. He works extensively with national programs and partners on cassava and plantain development and integrated pest management.
