Atayi Ezekiel Opaluwah\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>has joined IITA-Cotonou, Benin Republic as Communication Specialist of the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) Clearinghouse in Cotonou, B\u00e9nin Republic. At\u00e2yi-Babs Ezekiel is a multilingual Communication and Reputation Management Strategist from Nigeria who has successfully pioneered new paradigms\u00a0in media, communications and PR.\u00a0 He has a Bachelor\u2019s degree in French (Language\u00a0 and Linguistics); a professional certification in Branding and Advertising and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Media Arts with focus on Organisational Communications.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
He was an integral member of the team that established the Hausa Service of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Radio France Internationale<\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0with over 80 million listeners worldwide. He conceptualised and implemented the station\u2019s hugely successful start-up media strategy for West Africa.\u00a0As a Multimedia Journalist with Rfi, he led the team that designed, launched and administered the station\u2019s website as well as introduced the first radio magazine programme on climate change in Hausa language called\u00a0<\/span><\/span>“Chanji Yanayi.”<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
At\u00e2yi left Rfi in 2013 to establish\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Climate Reporters<\/i><\/span><\/span>, Africa\u2019s first bilingual online newspaper dedicated to opening new vistas in the coverage and reportage of climate change and the region\u2019s environment.\u00a0 He nurtured\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ClimateReporters<\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0into a fast-developing online newspaper and news resource that brings its readers up-to-date information (in English\/French) on environment and sustainable development issues throughout the world with a particular focus on Africa.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

With more than 15 years of progressive experience, At\u00e2yi has provided media, communication and knowledge management services on consultancy basis to a multi-stakeholder clientele which includes African Ministerial Conference on Environment (AMCEN), African Development Bank (AfDB), African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
