Medinat, a Nigerian, has an agricultural economics\/extension background with Master\u2019s degree in Community development. She has over two decades work experience in the field of agriculture, which spanned through technical\/extension services to policy levels. She worked on different value chains and acquired experiences at both national and international levels.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif; font-size: xx-small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif; font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Her previous employments include the following: Consultant Cassava Value Chain to the Ministry of Agriculture Liberia (July 2016-November 2017); Technical Adviser, (Cassava Value Chain) to the Minister of agriculture (2011-2015); National Programme Officer-National Special Programme for Food Security, Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo (2003-2007) and President Umaru Yar\u2019dua (2008-2009). She started her career as Agricultural extension officer and rose to the Head of Rural Institution Development, Lagos state Agricultural Development Programme (1988-2003).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif; font-size: xx-small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif; font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Her achievements in Liberia include the development of cassava value chain and the facilitation of technology and market development for the transformation of the cassava industry in the country.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif; font-size: xx-small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Medinat Oluwatoyin Adetunji\u00a0is the Agricultural Transformation Specialist at IITA-Cotonou, Benin Republic.
