Alick Mulenga, a Canadian, is the Head of Farm Management at IITA. He is an Agronomist with over 25 years work experience in agricultural research. He holds a BSc (Agric) from the University of Zambia, an M. Sc., and an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He has held various positions in the agricultural industry, including working at DuPont Canada and Bayer Crop Sciences as a Research and Development Representative. He worked for Health Canada as a Re-evaluation Co-ordinating officer with the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), coordinating the re-evaluation of pesticides for continued registration and use in Canada. He later joined the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a Research and Technology Advisor, evaluating the eligibility projects for research tax credits. Alick has also been operating his own consulting business, assisting organizations and individuals in accessing funding for their research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to joining IITA, he worked for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) as a Co-ordinating Agronomist and officer-in-charge, managing, collaborating, and coordinating research activities at a highly mechanized 600-acre experimental research farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. His area of expertise are, Farm Management, Weed Management, Geographical Information System, Big Data, Agronomy, Soil Management, Pesticide Regulation, Research Tax Credits.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
