Olapeju Olubusola Phorbee, a Nigerian, is the Dietary Intake Lead for the Nigerian National Food Consumption & Micronutrient Project (NFCMS). She is based in Ibadan. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Federal University of Agriculture-Abeokuta, MPhil. in Public Health, and MSc. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Ibadan. She was a research fellow at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Louis Missouri, USA and a delivery team member of the Well London Community Development Projects at the Greenwich Council, London, UK. She has over 18-years of experience in research for development, out of which over 10 years was at IITA, Ibadan in various capacities within food and nutrition space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before re-joining IITA, she has worked for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN-Nigeria) as the Lead for its Large-Scale Food Fortification Program. She also worked for the International Potato Center (CIP), Nigeria as the Country Manager. While with CIP, she led and coordinated two national projects (Sweet potato for Health & Wealth Project; and Building Nutritious Food Basket Project). She was the Principal Investigator-Nutritious Kitchen Gardening in the project, working to Improve Nutrition in Northern Nigeria (WINNN-CE). She is a Fellow of African Women in Agricultural Development (AWARD), an alumnus of African Nutrition Leadership Program (ANLP) and US International Visitors\u2019 Leadership Program (IVLP).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
