Deedi Sogbohossou, a Beninese, is currently the TAAT Country Engagement Officer – Program Support. She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Crop Science in 2011 and 2014 respectively, from the University of Abomey-Calavi. In 2015, she embarked on a Ph.D. journey in Plant Science at the Biosystematics Group of Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands on spiderplant breeding, a neglected leafy vegetable in Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She joined IITA, Cotonou Station in 2021 as Program Officer of the TAAT Clearinghouse. She is also serving as a country engagement officer during the second phase of the investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After her graduation in 2019, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at WUR before returning to Benin with the aim to serve the agricultural sector in Africa. She has experience in coordinating several applied research projects funded by the EU, NWO-WOTRO, and other donors. For seven years, she was involved in research, resource mobilization, teaching of bioinformatics and plant breeding courses, and co-supervision of students at the Laboratory of Genetics, Horticulture and Seed Science of the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin. Deedi is an alumni of the Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship and the African Plant Breeding Academy.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
