
Omotayo, a Nigerian, has taken up the role of Financial Controller, Operations at the Finance Directorate of IITA Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria. She is a graduate of accounting. She is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, where she obtained her master’s in business administration with a Specialization in Business Management. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration (with a Specialisation in Finance) program at Afe Babalola University (ABUAD Business School). A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria with well over a decade of professional experience covering all areas of finance and accounting sections and processes.
She has attended several accounting training courses, compliance training (FCPA), and leadership training in building and developing productive people.
She worked with Carimoco Nigeria Ltd in Lagos and later moved to United Parcel Service Limited, a Multinational organization in Lagos with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since joining IITA, she has worked in various sections of the Finance Directorate, covering donor project management, Accounts Payable, Treasury Management, Annual financial reporting and external audit support.
At the Global level, she worked with the System Organization (CGIAR) for two and a half years on Initiatives, supporting Initiatives leads across various centres in budgeting, budget monitoring and financial reporting. She is currently a member of the Program Finance Community of Practice, working with the Global Program Finance Director.
Her area of interest includes helping the poor and the vulnerable, speaking for and supporting women and the girl child in achieving their purpose in life.
